Anybody doing 3D projection....for larger audience (5000+)
« on: April 29, 2009, 12:14:28 PM »

Interested in which 3D solution you might be using and how well the effect works as in how far off axis can a viewer be and still get the impact.

You could have cropped most of the black nothingness out and still left a very usable image, or at least resized it.  Razz

Christie M Series?  Or maybe the digital Roadies?  Maybe I'm way off...

Details man. What was the source? Did the audience have to wear glasses?

Details:

Comic Con 2009
San Diego Convention Center.
Dolby System with Dolby glasses.
Christie CP-2000's. (seven total)
One 55 foot wide main screen.
Three 24 foot wide delay screens.
3D content ran "scope." so 2048 X 848.
Audio was almost 100 JBL Vertec and VRX. and ran in 7.1 this year.

Best Moment:  Sigouney Weaver re-writing her speech with my Sharpie while waiting to go on stage to talk about Avatar.

Bottom line; Dolby's 3D System held up well with muti-screen projection.  The images  were stunning.
