How are you planning on running this setup?  One sub per amp channel?  Bridged with both?  Bridged with one?

It will also depend on what the application is...which will dictate the required output.

Planning to run it in stereo at 8 ohms using that amp to power the left and right channels of the sub. It's for a simple setup. Don't plan on blasting it, but I do prefer to have that headroom just in case.

After doing some reading, I might want to go with another manufacturer. There are some nice horror stories the Behringer EP2500, and I don't want to end up with a fried sub.

I'll go into more detail. I currently have a HK 3490 supplying 120 watts per channel into two Control 28. I was hoping to hook up an external amp for the sub using the sub outputs from the HK.

Hopefully this expands the picture.
