Custom Gobos
« on: March 23, 2009, 09:50:25 AM »

Anyone have a place they would recomend for custom gobos?  Also, is it possible to put one in a ADJ Perfromance Scan 250?  I would just have to remove one of the existing Gobo's correct?

Thanks!

Chris

Apollo, Rosco, Gobo man, Gobo source

The manual for the perf scan is unclear.
But ADJ promotional materials says replaceable.

Size should be 28 mm.

ADJ usually has the answer via telephone or email:

Apollo is the only company that will make ANY of their gobos in the size you need. I had several made for my ADJ AccuSpot 250II.

Gam, Rosco only have a select few that they make in something other than standard "A" or "B" sizes.

+1 for Apollo.  They've created a number of custom gobos for me over the years.

You can't buy Apollo direct.  Probably not GAM or Rosco either.  You'll need to go thru a retailer.  I recommend http://www.entsyscorp.com.  All you need do is give them the gobo # or your artwork and size and they'll have it done in 2 - 3 days.

http://www.gamonline.com direct from Gam. Rosco is dealers only.

Thanks guys.  My Performace Scan 250 has 6 steel and 1 glass.  Can I replace one of the steel with glass or only replace the 1 glass?

Thanks!

Rosco will custom make any of their standard patterns to a moving head size.

They had a program a while back that let us get in as a gobo only dealer which has helped us as we get a bunch of custom corporate gobos.

Got a quote from Gobosource.  They sell direct and seem to be very reasonable.

Thanks!
