The OP of that thread seems to want to use it in place of flexible mic cable. Why he would be using that for an install is beyond me. He claims it is 1000x more expensive than CAT5. How about comparing it to the correct audio cable.

I think somebody there hit the nail on the head. You could wire your house with rubber covered SJ cord like is used for extension cords. It will work but you wouldn't want to do it. Same here. UTP will work but you don't want to use it.
