4 to 2 manual vga switch
« on: March 06, 2009, 11:52:08 AM »

Any ideas on a 4 in 2 out w/audio manual switch?  Could be hd-15 or rbghv bnc.  I need to simply select any of four vga inputs around a room between two projectors. Something like this only backwards w/audio: http://www.smartvm.com/VGA-Video-Matrix-2-IN-4-OUT-Desktop-P 7532.htm
TIA,

Extron has a 4x4 matrix switcher with audio that you could use:

and I'm sure you could find the Kramer equivalent out there.

I have used this for a few years.  It is in an installation with 3 projectors.  We use the 4th output with a local monitor for checking sources with out having to fire up a projector.

Keep in mind you have to match the resolution and refresh rate of all the sources so the projectors don't have to resynchronise.

It is programmable and can also be controlled by a computer via RS232.
