Presonus Studio Live - merged
« on: February 13, 2009, 09:34:00 PM »

So the Studiolive has finally shipped. They now have the ability to run two together as a 32 channel mixer. For 2K all they have to do is work and they will ship container loads.

So does anybody have one. A real review would be great. I am in Australia so I guess we will have to wait a while. I love the thinking that went into the design. If it sounds good that will be a bonus.

Regards
Paul

There's a reason it's called the Studiolive. There's a reason it's $2K. This is a project studio mixer, not a live sound piece. Sure, you could use it for live sound, just like people have used the Yamaha O2R and to a lesser extent the DM1000, but I hope I never have to.

Hi Bennett

I think it is both StudioLive. I was hoping you would do one of your Bennett reviews on it. I look forward to hearing some user reviews.

Cheers

That was my Bennett review. I saw this thing at AES 08. If it works for you, great, but I don't think it begins to approach a live sound piece.

Digital mixer with recall but no moving faders? What's the point, really?

It's a dessert topping!  No, it's a floor polish!

so how is it better than a Yamaha 01V96. I paid $1800 for my 01v96.

agree'd. You can get a new 01v96 for cheaper than that presonus new... I'm not seeing the benefit.
