I just spent 1.5 hours replacing a limit switch in a Da-Lite senior electrol. Powered screens are, in my opinion some of the worst designed pieces of equipment in the A/V industry if you ever intend to service them. I think that whoever designed them does not take into any account that most service is probably done on a ladder essentially working upside down. I also think that there is no consideration on how to fit any damn tools into the tiny wooden box the motor is enclosed in. It took 30 minutes to remove 1 screw because I only had the space to move it 1/16 of a turn at a time. I've serviced probably 30 screens in 5 years and they have all been a nightmare.

Am I the only one here?

Nope. It's obvious that they are designed to come in as low bid.

Personally, I'm tired of hanging a screen and then finding out that the tension wasn't set high enough at the factory. Seems simple enough to figure out.
