Steve,
Don't waste your money corner protectors. The finish will take the abuse, and the covers will keep them looking nice.

That switch on the back is handy for when you want to run your tops on pin 1/2, and the subs on 3/4. In "A" mode, the subs are on pins 1/2, and in "B" mode the subs are on pins 3/4.

Oh, and PM sent. Smile

appreciate that Evan. Honestly, it was more an observation than anything. I won't be doing that. I love em just as they are.

Thanks everyone, theses subs are looking better and better. Steve I am looking forward to your in-use review.I have never heard these before and no one around here has them that I am aware of for demo. This forum is a great place to learn about equipment from actual owners, I'll take that over a white sheet of paper filled with specs any day. I am counting my pennies right now.

Not Steve Tarak,but....

One thing I can weigh in with is Yorkville really did think out handle and caster placement on these.  There are handles exactly where you need them.

They are just a hair on the wrong side of too tall/heavy for me to lift in and out of a truck which was a big reason I didn't go with them.

I have heard them rock quite hard.
2 of the center coupled will thump a small venue quite nicely.

"am counting my pennies right now."

yes. me too.

also, here in Indy, MOST local bar band setups are on the ground with the crowd. UCS1's stand tall and may have to be laid down and centered, or doubled up per side. There will definately also be a "NO STEP" sign on them should I ever do that. Singles will punch a small room pretty well from the information I've read. I don't always go by that. My ears are what will tell me the truth.

best,

Steve

Brutha Steve, I don't have a show this Saturday night  Sad . Are you doing sound anywhere with the UCS1B's? If so, I'd like to come meet you and check them out.
