Samson Q7
« on: November 08, 2008, 08:15:29 PM »

So the owner of my favorite music store gave me a Samson Q7 microphone to try out.

Last night I gave it to a male vocalist who used it for one set.

The result? It sounded fine. Ac near as I could tell no different in sound quality between the Q7 and a plain old 58.

The Q7 has a supercard pattern but a broad main lobe. The should make it a viable option for those who just can not handle a tight pattern mic such as Audix OM series.

Any one using these with comments?

Although i have not used this mic, i have heard that Samson has been either right on with their products and they are good quality OR they are in far left field and lacking very much. I heard that samsons ribbon mic was very nice for the money.
