What do you use to silence squeaky piano pedals, kick drum pedals, etc?

Thanks,

Typically, I have to buy a replacement.  Once a squeak forms, it will always come back, usually at the worst possible time.  I usually prefer to replace the squeaky part, if not the whole thing.

I use Corrosion X. Works on many different materials, lasts long.
