How do you transport your trees?
« on: August 26, 2008, 01:17:06 PM »

Lights and I do not get along, at all. As fate would have it, a very regular client has requested I transport their lighting so they can car pool. But I do get use of them on other gigs, so it works out.

It's a very simple setup, 2 pre-rigged trees, 2 pars and 2 mini spots w/controllers on each, and stands of course. Im guessing 30-40#s each bar.

What have you guys found to be the best way to transport this in a trailer? Hang? Racks? There are no cases.

I'd like to rig this up once and be done with it.

Thanks,
Mike

I carry 20' of truss everywhere, whether its used or not - and sometimes more.  My 4 bar lights hang from the truss using their clamps or hooks. ....although that is slightly off topic.

However, I have seen people (without truss) hang their 4 bar lights from the roof bows with HD bungee straps.  Its a little "5th street", but it works for them.

Trees go wherever they will fit - they are always last in the trailer, as they need to be first out, usually.
