I'm not a dealer for them or a sales rep. But let me say these things are incredible! Prices I'm tossing out are MSRP.
And best I can tell, Neo-Neon/Irradiant were OEM manufacturers for several products. The companies either discontinued the product or found a cheaper place to make it. So Neo/Irr. just continued making it for themselves.
The city they've built in China is larger than Behringer City, fyi. It was also nice to see some key players leave their companies to go work for Irradiant. Frank Luppino has always been a "service comes first" type of manufacturer's rep. Doug Suiter is another. And Jim Hardaway who has produced some amazing laser products.
I played with the LEDPRO64ST.
Its essentially a short can, Par 64. 36 1 watt LEDs.
Built as solid as any other LED Par (elation, AMdj) that I've had my hands on.
PRO version, so no dip switches to deal with.
Has a FAN inside it but you'd never know unless you picked up the PAR and felt a bit of vibration.. its a silent fan.
Another think I liked about it: No sign of the triple shadow you get from most LED par cans. Just 1 shadow with this par. Believe there is a unique lens on the front of the par that corrects this. He did say I could easily remove that for a different lens that would then make it more of a wash than a par.
Think MSRP is around $400 and this thing is as bright as at least a 500 watt par. The Irradiant rep said 1000 watt par.
Believe the next was a LED Moonflower 1 - special effect light.
As big as a basketball. Fairly long throw. Neat lighting effects.
I set it to react to the beat of the audio. Another solidly built can. No moving parts so I'd assume if anything wore out, it would be the bracket bolts. HAHA! Effects ranged from colored circles to fireworks style simulated movements. Think this one would work well on dance floors or as a party light for youth groups. And its like $80!
I'm considering getting a handful of their small LED gobo spot lights. At $50 each its hard to beat it! Didn't get to put my hands on one, but says it has a 5watt COB LED. Then I'll get a few gobo packs and go to town!
The controller was a Club-12 DMX controller. Essentially a DMX-Operator style. MSRP $149. Sliders felt much more solid and smoother than the DMX-OP controller.
Another cool fixture was the Sun Wash RGB. A smallish panel wash LED light. It is hinged so it can be aimed, but its not a moving head. 24 1-watt reds, 18 3-watt greens, and 7 3-watt blues.
This puppy is BRIGHT! At $1399, I will be able to put these in several of my installs as wall washes and stage washes.
(It comes in a Amber/White LED version too: 49 3-watt white, 7 3-watt amber)
Solid metal housing. Don't recall it being a loud fixture.
Now we've all worked with the Elation DLED36 (MH and non MH).
Great light for my installs.
I played with the LED MOVE RGB. Essentially the same light!
Identical in many many ways. 36 1-watt LEDs. does everything the DLED36 does. But has their Irradiant lens on it. MSRP is $649!!!! (thats half of Elation's MAP) Same cam locks for mounting - very solid.
Another one that impressed me was the LED Bank8 Pro. 96 1-watt LEDs. Brackets on each end allow for aiming it straight up (or down) a wall or curtain as well as a slight angle up to be used as a side wash or knee light. MSRP around $989.
This one had a bit more fan noise than I prefer. (if used on a stage for acoustic musicians or House of Worship installs)
He did state that I could disconnect the outgoing fan without any overheating issues.
A fogger he showed me in the catalog but didn't have on hand, the Fog Pod, is vertical fogger. I see a great use for these in Little Theater productions and stage set ups where you need fog to rise or a burst of smoke from behind props or amp stacks on stage. And for $65 MSRP, get several of them. Has a 50w halogen light in them as well.. neat effect light.
Another piece I want to get my hands on is their wireless DMX box. 512 channels and a MSRP of $179 per side - so for around $360 you have wireless DMX. From an install standpoint, this saves me multiple scaffolding climbs, wire runs, and possible lift rentals.. for less money than I charge per day for labor alone. Reviews on other wireless DMX units say that its a Line of Sight requirement for solid performance.. So I'm waiting to get my hands on this one from Irradiant.
Boy - Im beginning to sound like I SHOULD work for the company - HAHA!
The partial catalog I picked up at the NAMM show is about 3 inches thick and doesn't contain every product they offer. LED screens, flooring, architectural and residential fixtures, LED panels that replace florescent lights in drop ceilings, LED tape style pieces, more lasers than you've ever seen, a large line of moving heads, genis, pars, blinders, strobes, intelligent lighting, special effects lighting, foggers n hazers, 4000w DMX search lights, controllers, splitters, dimmers, TRUSS, flight cases, MI and Pro audio (amazing how some of it looks JUST LIKE a JBL EON and the Mackie SRM series), DJ mixers/CD players, mics (they have a model that matches pretty much every handheld you've ever worked with), amps, and a few sub/sat speaker systems on tripods.
Keep ya posted as I get more of these in my hands.
I did order the controller and some of the smaller LED pars for a local bar. Should be in soon and I'll post when I've set them up.
