Show Report

OK, so I went to see James Taylor and his Band of Legends last night.

Unlike some of you, I am not "always on", and occasionally go to a show to enjoy the music. That said, here is my gig report.

The PA was a long skinny banana shaped thingy.

The mixer was digital, with a bunch of faders and display screens and junk.

That Dave Morgan guy is a freakin' genius. I bet having real talent on stage really helps things a bit.

Must have been a great show, Dave! Last time I saw James Taylor was at the Briggs opera house in White River Junction, VT. There were about 50 people there in a very intimate room, I don't even remember what the PA was, there may not have been one. It was a really excellent time.

I have no problem going to shows and "turning off" my inner sound guy... if it's really bad/loud I'll leave, but I don't criticize or care when it's not my gig.
