JBL ASB218V bass 2x18
« on: February 27, 2011, 07:14:09 am »

I have a project where the customer has specified JBL. We were fitting ASB6128. We have been offered ASB6128V, as the former has too long a delivery time in the UK right now.

They are for use in a medium size cabaret room where live music and a DJ is used. Mid/hi is JBL AM7215/95.

Just looking for some input on the ASB7128V having never used them. Any ideas anyone?

I would use the JBL SRX728s.  Very durable and cost effective.

I have used the 6128 and the 6128V in stacks of 4 in installations. They both worked well in 5000-9000 seat hockey/basketball arenas.  I didn't come anywhere near their max potentials...and with a sheet of ice in the building you take what you can get for clarity at such long wavelengths.
