How does a picture of the FOH Desk where I work end up in an article in LSI?
Wes Collingsworth:
So one of my colleagues from work cracked into his new edition of Live Sound International, only to realize that on page 28, in the article "Mixing The House With IEM," the photo of the VCA section on an ML5000 is OUR ML5000. At FOH. In our room. If you look at the attached pictures, you can see in the pictures that I took a few months ago with my iPhone that the VCAs are named the same. Does anybody know Mike Sessler or know how to get in touch with the folks at LSI? They didn't credit where it came from. They may have found the picture legitimately somehow, but we are trying to get to the bottom of how this happened. Any thoughts?

Maybe he was at your place when he took the photo. The photo is more to do with the IEM rather than the desk. It could be any ML5000 out there. What is the big deal about it ?

I agree, they didn't do anything wrong. As long as they had rights to the picture and you didn't snap it, they don't have to credit anything. If photographers had to credit their subjects in every picture, photography would be a much more involved field.
Mike Bamber:
Nice photoshop job putting the IEMs in there!

Or, you can pm me and i can give you his personal email.
My guess is that some engineer that passed through your house is friends with Mike and took the picture.
