Hwo could we have forgotten about SAT live. Although after reading all of Thornton's post's I doubt there are too many votes for it.

i wish i could vote for two as well

i use and old RANE RA-27 and my ears

still need to buy smart and go to a lot of lessons to learn it, every time i have seen it used it sounded like shit and was used just as an rta and nothing else so i think that has a LOT to do with it but would love to learn how to use it correctly but for now  i like what i have

Actually it is quite amazing how many people have Smaart and just use the RTA. Shocked

It is those people who give it (and all measurement) a bad name.

It is partially for that reason that I now use SYSTUNE for system alignmnet.  In order to seperate myself from those people.

What a waste of a good program. Crying or Very Sad

Mate,

You cannot judge the affluent by their effluent.
Nor can you hold any measurement system responsible for the output quality if you believe Garbage in is Garbage out. What you need is a better garbage man.

But Ivan, you could distinguish yourself even more so with SATLIVE... Rolling Eyes

Seriously though, others' lack of skill with a certain tool is not a strike on the tool itself; just because thousands of hacks use Les Pauls doesn't mean they're not fine guitars.  Some people define themselves with the things they own, and others by the things they do.  (And this isn't meant as knock on Ivan; I've heard one of his installs and I'm sure no matter what measurement program he were using, he'd get a fine result.)

There are other reasons as well for me going mostly with Systune.  My Smaart rig is always with me in my toolbox.

Don't get me wrong, there are things that I like about Smaart better than Systune, just tools that work slightly different, each with its own set of advantages/disadvantages.

You are what you eat, less the effluent.

Whats your choice for system testing?

Praxis

Why?

The number of useful tests it can perform, Secondly ease of use.
