Video - Outdoor use - partial daylight
« on: March 15, 2008, 08:16:58 PM »

Anyone know what the state of the art for outdoor "transportable" video is?

The last time I rented one was for 5K peeps in 1998. It was the full tractor-trailer LED version. Huge. Barely "Adequate" during the day - beautiful after dark.

I have no clue what fits the bill nowadays. Or where to start looking.

This time I need to cover about 2 to 4K peeps outdoors from 7 to 10 pm. Sunset about 8:30 pm.

Video playback mainly (IMAG possible). Can be on-stage or flown at the sides.

Barco has a trailer version that works well.
Visible during the day even with direct sunlight

Works well for up to 5000 people at least the size we used.

Thanks - I saw that (it was a rhetorical comment, as in "Cool, I gotta get me some of those.")

Just buy 2 and call it a day. Laughing
It would make for one heck of a movie night.

Rear projection works well in sunlight or bright rooms. You need to cover the area between the projector and screen to keep ambient light off the back of the screen.
