Mine was always insisting on a treat, or arguing about doing something she was told to do.  Sounded the same to me: http://www.padrick.net/Personal/Fancy.wav

Reminds me of the beer commercial in which the dog says "sausage". That and the Simpsons episode in which Homer's brother invents a baby translator.

Looks to me like that "sophisticated software" they're using to figure out fido is a basic FFT in Cool Edit Pro. Hmmm.

When he licks his ass he's trying to say - "Damn them are some salty balls, this'll kill the taste.." Razz

When he licks his balls - he's complaining to his "god" "Why wasn't I born with thumbs?" Razz

So far, that's all I've been able to translate with 100% accuracy. Rolling Eyes

I had a dog and all I heard was one low Aaaaaoooooo. But I knew it meant "I pissed on the high voltage power supply, my balls have exploded, I'm dead."

My dog just grins at me and I believe thinks, "I wonder when he will find that last shit I just dropped downstairs?"  She's always into something, it's catching her in the act that is nearly impossible.  I'm in a battle of wits with a 25 lb. dog, and am getting my ass kicked.
