Help deciding what sound equipment to buy
« on: April 08, 2013, 05:44:15 PM »

hi all,
I am new here so I am just trying to get a feel for this place. I have recently purchased a Peavey CS 400 power amp from ebay. I used to sing at a local bar four nights a week and the guy had a CS 400, powering 4 Peavey SP-2 speakers through it. I am looking to recreate his whole system but I am having trouble finding a decent set of speakers for a good price on eBay. I am wanting to know if I would be okay buying a different set of speakers? problem is I don't know what size speakers in wattage I need so that the power amp works correctly.

Spec sheet for the amp says it handles 120w RMS per channel into 8ohms

help please! lol
