Anyone have thoughts? Heard/seen it already?
We're going to be purchasing a rig, but won't be able to take delivery until the very end of the year :-\

I didn't get to hear it, unfortunately... but I saw it before it was loaded into the first gig in the USA. As you would expect, it looks really good and I expect it sounds better than V-DOSC, which it is supposed to replace, according to this interview (http://www.fohonline.com/current-issue/72-product-focus/9727-l-acoustics-k2-high-performance-line-array.html).

A couple of other companies have taken delivery as of yesterday including Rat.

I know US Audio in North Hollywood has taken delivery of a decent sized rig. I have a couple good friends that have been though the L-Acoustics training and have heard the product that same it is pretty impressive.

This is a great product for L'Acoustics. K1 is great, but its too big for a lot of applications. K2 will give you 80% of K1 in a package that can do smaller arenas, larger theatres, etc... Very versatile. Its the L'acoustics answer to d&b J.
I'm looking forward to hearing/using it

Its the L'acoustics answer to d&b J.
Other than the fact you don't have to wait till the 4th quarter of 2014 to get a d&b J ;)
The companies that have gotten it are existing L'Acoustics vendors; everyone else, get in line...

We're by no means a big company, but even some of the larger vendors here have been told the same thing we have: That it will be the end of the year before they can get any

My guess is they are doing there usual roll out. This is just part of the testing phase. They will beat a couple controlled rig on the road to make sure there are no major issues in the system before they release it to everyone.

Yeah Steve, Glenn is correct; the system is well tested... the delivery issue is all about production (or lack there of!)

I've seen it being used in september 2013 in Berlin (BBM @ IFA), but it was outdoors and raining, so I didn't hear it :-)
Nevertheless as with all pro systems I'm sure that it's up to the signal source (band), room, mixer guy and system tech to make it "sound right".

Finally the K2, the power of V-Dosc, the sound of K1, the functionality of Kudo and only 56 kg. Great combination for a lot of gigs :)

I will like to check on it

Outline GTO C12 is shipping now, same component load as K2, same premises, I have first 18 in US and it's quite impressive, traded Big GTO I for C12 as better fit for us...amazing build quality, amazing sound quality, oodles and oodles of headroom, Lake and Outline amps (Powersoft) cheaper than K2 and hopefully soon as rider friendly, since I have experience with both GTO and C12, my take is C12 sounds better....

Bauder Audio Systems in Philadelphia took delivery of 24 x k2, 12 x KARA, 16 x SB28, 4 x SB18 and 5 x LA-RAK about two weeks ago. We had our debut show Saturday night with Lorde at the Tower Theater. Sounded great.
