Can the congregation tell who’s mixing? The question is not for reasons of pride but for consistency.
The congregation should hear a predictable mix each week, and when a new audio tech joins the team, this can be a problem. The new tech could be experienced or fresh off the street.

So what if one person is way better than the others? How would you NOT be able to tell if he were mixing? Does the best mixer get to set the standard? Why would someone 'off the street' be mixing a service?

My answer to the implied question is to always use the best person, and compensate them fairly.
