Didn't think of that...   Learn something new each day.
Thanks Mike.

You can get backing washers for rivets that help when reverse mounting, I've had to do it when the panel choice was out of my control and or already in place!

Yes ...I am an Allen & Heath girl. I use the QU Pac on the stage and mix wirelessly on my iPad. I have never used AES....
One nice thing about using AES is it eliminates D to A conversion from the mixer and A to D conversion back into the power amp.

Look into driving your system with AES, it eliminates a couple conversion stages. I use it to drive my main system DSP, I have the Whirlwind splitter to drive the two system amp racks for a larger set up.
I use a QU Pac as well.

I'm the "sound janitor" for a K3/KS28 rig.  One day I hope to make "audio plumber" status like Mac...

Yes, everything about l'Acoustics is opaque.  There is no official, complimentary-with-purchase training; it's pay to play.  It is only offered as instructor-led training AFAIK.  You might be able to glean a working knowledge of Soundvision from YooToob.  Might.  And you'll need it because everything starts with the file generated by Soundvision.

Debbie is heavily invested in Allen and Heath mixers and stageboxes.  The stage boxes do not have AES output. If she uses her QU-PAC and places it on stage, she could then take advantage of it's AES output.
If she adds the AR84 to her QU-Pac, that will give her 32 input channels and 12 returns.

I run everything from stage left; amps and stagebox.
Stagebox has 8ch of AES outs, so two channels per amp go directly into the AES in on the DNAs.
DNA20k4 to L/R mains, subs, 2 mono front fills. DNA10k4 to L/R side fills, L/R delays.

I am waiting to see more about these.

I hope for rotatable horns, they'll be perfect front fills.

Hey guys.

Do any of you have one of these? What do you think of it? Pros? Cons?  A friend of mine says that it has some "weird" fader issues.  My Sweetwater guy was not a lot of help. He just said that it had some "kinks" that needed to be worked out.

Thanks.
Scott

I have one, it's a nice utility mixer. I think the largest complaint is the USB connector for the power supply. The only fader "issue" I can think of happens when used with the app, these are not motorized faders, so when you adjust the fader in the app it does not change the fader on the unit, it takes a bit getting use to.

Looking for leads on DMP7 (yes, the one from 1987) fader belts.
