Of all the amps in the world, the OnStage folks thought this was the best one to use for a tilt-back amp product? Don't get me wrong, I love mine for my Princeton Reverb...

I'm not sure either.

Is the fail the central mic with a twin speaker amp?

Bingo. If you've got a Fender with tilt-back legs, why spend the dough on something that does the same thing?

I was so intent on the type, which I now think is a Twin Reverb, that I never noticed the legs. Fender amps lay down pretty far when the legs are used, and the Twin Reverb is heavy as hell, so maybe they're showing of the versatility of the stand.

Ned, I like the look's of that stand. Have you found that micing between the speakers of a Twin like shown in the picture helps?

Ha Ha! I have the Ultimate Support Genesis, which is similar. The boom stand is useless to me as you don't get a very good place to mic (like in-between a Twin's speakers), but it's also moot for me because I bring my 2 e906's and 2 Z-Bars to shows to eliminate mic stands altogether - very helpful on tight stages. And with the tilt, the e906's lie flat on the amp grill in the same place every time.

The Tiltback is great for amps like my Princeton Reverb; the Ultimate support version also fits in the back of the amp.  If you have an amp without tilt back legs, they're definitely worth getting. If you only have Fenders with tilt-back legs built in, this may be redundant.

Deluxe Reverbs don't have tilt back legs. Oh wait, you don't own a Deluxe Reverb. Never mind.

I put tilt back legs on my Princeton when I had one. 
No reason they wouldn't go on a Deluxe.

That amp stand wouldn't last long with a twin on it.
I had one and loved the mic stand part, but it wasn't a heavy duty stand
(It was light and compact though!)
