Client NEEDS this stand, Ive seen them over the years but don't know who makes it or where to get them? any help? Bottom looks like a Manhassatt music stand....

Not the same stand, but Samson makes a similar one that uses the same base and features a telescopic boom. At $25 each, I bought a pair just to try out, figured there wasn't much to lose. After a year of regular use I have been quite happy with them.

I inherited a couple of the Samson variants of this - perfect for kick and guitar cabs.

Only problem I've had is that both have had the pole sheer from the threaded section in the bottom - presumably too weak.  I've replaced with parts from some el cheapo round base stands (where the round bases were too light to be useful.

Just with the Samsons were a little cheaper over here in the UK, mind...

I might have considered that, but they don't appear to be available in the UK.

My alternative solution worked - just a shame Samson stand has this inherent weakness...

That looks like an old On Stage 7311.   I used to have a bunch of these.  I think one of our old kits still does. I think they are still available.
