I RTFM. Maybe I've read over it, but I can't find it!
How do I get one of these meters to show up on the overview screen, except have it be for the MASTER, sub group or etc. I can only get it to show the solo bus via the one option in the prefs. I'd love to have LR/sub/matrix in these big ol meters. I know it's possible because there's an SD8 I work on sometimes that already has it set up. I can't get it to happen on my (venue's) SD9?

Layout Menu/Channel List
Check the box in the far right column labelled "Meter"

In addition to what Andrew said' after you get the meter on the "master" screen you can choose to move it to the overview screen and you can choose whether you want to have it large or small.

Awesome! I looked all over the "overview screen" part of the manual, and I didn't see it, I imagine it's where they talk about the channel list. Thanks guys. Just got a screen for the sd9 so this is great.

Hey, by the way... Does the following option only work on the console?
Display Snapshots Overview
(This option allows a floating copy of the Snapshots list to be displayed in the overview screen, for the viewing or triggering of Snapshots.)
I tried it on the SD8 software on my computer, and I'm not getting the snapshot list on the overview screen.

Yes, it does work.

Yes, it does work.
Yes, I figured it did, but is it not also supposed to work on the SD8 software on PC?

It does work on the SD8 PC offline software. The snapshot list floats over all the screens in the offline, I guess that you have to have an actual overview screen in order to drag it to it.

It works on a real SD8 & 9 for sure.

I must be missing something then. It won't drag over for me. (Neither do the channel meters, but I realize now that you click on the "view" button on the meter to set it's location)
I do have the "Display Snapshots Overview" option set to "Yes".

The Display Snapshots Overview normally pops up another window that just has the list of snapshots rather than the whole snapshot window, which can then be dragged to the overview screen. It isn't hidden behind another screen display is it?

Ok, still not seeing it. Doesn't appear to be hidden either. Are you on version 5.0.634? Can you do a screenshot of how this ss overview looks when running the SD software on your PC?

It definitely works in the current SD7 offline software (v685). I will try and grab a screenshot this evening and will download the sd8 editor too.

Thank you very much! Ooo - another update! Do you have a link to the changelog for 685?

OK, this is fresh install of an SD8 v634 offline software. I clicked "Display Snapshots Overview" on the options page and got the pop up window as shown in the screenshot below.

The release notes for v685 are included in the zipped download with the installers for the console, and I have just noticed that all of the user guides have been updated on the website to v685.
Hope this helps.

I see that. Thank you. I'll uninstall and reinstall to see if that fixes the problem.

Reinstalling the software fixed the problem. I can see the SS overview now. Thank you for your help!

Is there a macro for locking the console?
I installed the v685 update on the SD9 and the firmware on the d-racks this weekend. All went well.
