Hey guys,
Just a quick question.
Would it be okay to connect let’s say shure receiver and transmitter body pack to a countryman e6 headworn microphone or for that matter any other brand headworn microphone?

Why would it not be OK, how do you use these mics without a bodypack, cabled?
Countryman sells adaptors for the different manufacturers bodypacks so that you can use them for exactly the purpose.

That will work fine, a couple things though....
Depending on the type of mic used prior on that body pack you may need to re-adjust the gain on the body pack, most likely turning it down if that pack was used with a lapel mic before.
On the receiving end you will most likely need to re-adjust the mixer channel EQ.
What model Shure wireless do you have.

Yep, provided the connectors mate. The church I work at uses a Countryman with a Sennheiser body pack.
Just heed Mike Caldwell's instructions and you should be fine.

Small note - ensure that the connectors mate, and that the pin-outs match. There are a couple brands that share connectors, but different pin-outs, and thus don't work.
Overall I like DPA best, and if there is any chance of using with multiple brands of wireless, get the Microdot termination and adapters rather than hard wired.

I've used non OEM brand mics (Lapel or headworn) with the correct pin configurations for established brands like Shure and Senn. For Shure, it's the mini XLR or TA4F connection.
My personal challenge has been how to determine the more reliable mics from the (affordable?) stuff sold on eBay since the OEM brand headworn/Lapel wireless mics are usually way above my budget.

This kind of made sense to me until I priced things. I see replacement cables for $115, the adapters to use a mic on a different receiver are $100 each. Why not just buy a different cable and eliminate that potential point of failure?

All DPA's with Microdots can accept all of the various adapters however, not all DPA's have replaceable cables.
