Is there a good way to utilize dante based cat 5 digital snakes (like R series) with avid sc48?

No one can assist you until you update your Display Name to match your real, full name, per the Rules of Participation on ProSoundWeb.

If you run and do this quickly before a Moderator sees it, they won't lock your post.....

If there is a Dante RJ-45 card for the sc48, than yes. However, I don't believe this is a current option. Furthermore I've heard that Avid is in the AVB camp, not Dante.

I've been using the Rio units with R-Remote for signal acquisition and networking with Smaart, all over Dante with DVS/Controller. Based on this experience, any signal over the network can be used sent wherever you may like as long as the systems have the proper Dante utilities are installed.
