Title: Miles Davis tech rider request
Post by: Lee Brenkman on July 30, 2011, 12:41:12 PM
No, I'm not starting a new career, "mixing the already dead".

I would like the sound portion of a Miles Davis band tech rider from any time between 1972 and 1990; the earlier in that period the better.

I'd like it for the "history of sound reinforcement" portion of a class I'm teaching this fall.

thanks,
grampa

Sadly, no.  That's the rider for a current touring theatrical piece that recreates and outlines the 1959 "Kind of Blue" era Miled Davis band.

I know Ambrose, the trumpeter who plays in the production and he's excellent BTW.

But as they used to say on "Concentration", NOT a match

Total topic swerve, but yeah, I did a show with him earlier this year and he is fantastic.

Ambrose Akinmusire.  Go see him if you get a chance.
