Even stranger, I just double checked my hard drive recording and Bon Jovi's vocals are still 100%!! its almost 'professional' dvd quality, maybe I've been recording a different Live earth! lol.
The first half of Kravitz that I heard had MASSIVE over compression, bad bootleg quality with a snare that sounded like a biscuit tin, but then I was drinking lol.

I liked The Police set, Kanye West ruined it for me though, he's good at his stuff, but The Police are just such legends, you don't just throw in a big name like West for the sake of it.

Yeah, I didn't get that at all. Just didn't make sense and I was kinda wondering who came up with that idea.

Gee, at a politically correct event like this I wonder too.

Thought The Foo Fighters played the best and had the best broadcast mix at London. I've have a new found appreciation for Mr Grohl now. That kind of level going into the vocal mic is a mixers dream........

Hi all
One of the FOH mixers in London informed me that the PA was EV Xline, supplied by Brittania Row I assume.
From what I saw on TV it was Xline, aswell as in Hamburg.

Cheers

I also find it ironic that the concerts will prompt people around the world to either jump in their car and drive to the show or turn on their TVs and computers to watch it from home. I'm sure the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

Yes, it's not ideal.  But if you were to look at the pollution and resource usage of something like a NASCAR event, Live Earth would still be very much on the "green" side of things.

It's one week later and MSN still does not have their web act together delivering the LE recorded program.

Great mixes and performances - but only about a 25% likelihood that you won't get a message: "Sorry we are experiencing technical difficulties delivering your program..."

Come on!
