Limited GPL for speaker design?
« on: February 17, 2006, 04:31:49 PM »

I know that the LAB subwoofer project is copyrighted but is there such thing as a limited GPL for designs other than software?

I would like to post my BS-212 plans here but I would hate to see someone else capitalizing on the design, besides maybe me, and Jerry who helped facilitate my design work.

Or if modifications and improvements are made to the cabinetry at least reference to the original design, like the LINUX style GPL.

If any of you know anything else about the topic any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Unless your design achieves the renown of the Lab Subwoofer or has the Tom Danley pedigree, I wouldn't be too worried about some professional company taking undesirable notice. Go ahead and post the design -- I think it will be just fine.
