Hrmm... After some use I have some basic suggestions...

If I am currently reading a post, then the folder for it in the tree view ought not be red, this makes me think I have not yet looked at that post and I click it again to read what I have just finished reading.

Can the folder be smaller? I think if it were smaller it would clean up the look some.

Can the light bulb be smaller, it draws a little too much attention to itself.

I'm sure I'll find some more to suggest as I read more, but this is what I've noticed today.
