Bob - sell that Kustom PA and use this instead - my first bass and then guitar amp, which I'm now thinking of buying back on eBay (not this particular one)

I just bought a new "Kustom" sound system and it has a pair of really nice speakers with 10" woofers. It's all in one box which makes it pretty easy to carry. It came with 2 mics and lots of cables and a book. My first gig is Saturday at a hockey rink. Will this rig be enough for 3,000 people? And what type of mic should I use on the kick drum?
Yes, they have used that system on the TV show "Glee", the red color are better than blue.

Kick drums are large, so large diaphragm condenser mics should be used,  on the front, each side, in the hole and  mounted next to the beater.

That is a lot of work though, a wireless SM 58 will do.

Nobody uses SM58's anymore, the hot mic is the Vocopro Karaoke mic in shiny pink...

It doesn't matter what mic you use on kick at that point
