...I might instruct them to put one top upside down on the other top for best performance. Although, this being a city, they may have a bona-fide use for 180 degree coverage too...

If I stack 2 QSC KW153's on each side (upside down or not), I assume I should strap them together, and to the subs if the subs are on the bottom.  Any suggestions for straps?  Sources?

Would 2 QSC KW181 subs under 2 KW153s on each side project pretty well?  A decent volume for 1000 people, say up to 200-300 feet away, or would I be better off using the second set of KW153s as delays at 150 feet back??

I guess stacked would at least look cool...

I'm hoping to submit this proposal Friday afternoon (I'm off to a gig all day tomorrow, our virtual Saturday), so I need to wrap up the list.

Oh ya, 'our' $30,000 PA is now at $35,000 after adding 2 more tops and 2  more subs ...  I'm starting to wonder if it makes more sense to spend the extra money on a better quality speaker rather than adding more QSC KWs, maybe some RCF ART 72x's...  Are the ART 725s noticeably better than the QSC or PRX speakers...  OK, I just opened another can of worms,...

Thanks again for everyone's support.

I've spec'd out a PA system for general use by a company/community.  30K is their budget.  If anyone is interested in reviewing the system, I'd appreciate to know if I left out anything important.  My goal is to have a complete system ready to work.

A couple of notes:

1) The Ashley processor is in there primarily to provide some additional EQ and occasionally delays for outdoor events, not for traditional speaker processing.
2) I choose Mackie mixers because most anyone can run a Mackie board. The 2 mixers are there to make the system somewhat scalable, for example someone could take 2 QSC KW122's, the small Mackie, and some mics and cables for a small indoor event.

I'm not really interested in alternate vendor/model choices but more interested in knowing if I missed some class of product, i.e. could you throw this gear in your truck and do a gig without anything else.

I know its a stretch to ask anyone to look at the list, but if someone is bored, go for it :)

Here's the list  http://www.bhphotovideo.com/wl/3D8B6BFC5F

Hopefully, its not editable by the public...

Loose the lexicon, get a Tc electronics M1XL, or a D2.

Overpaying on a lot of items, the ar1215 can be got new for $350
Mic cables, so on and so forth.

You can get mackies repaired locally, it just sucks when they go down in the middle of a show.

I'll sell you my brand new system. I'm just a rich guy in Seattle who bought this PA on a whim but I never got to use it much. It's new. Paid 24,500 for it. Sell it to you for 20,000. It's:
(2) Danley TH-115 subs (4 ohm boxes) with covers, (2) EV QRx 212/75 mains with covers, Mackie Onyx 32.4 with SKB 4031 ATA case, Mackie 1604 VLZ3, Horizon Stage Series 100 ft 24x8 stage snake, Ashly Protea 3.6, dbx driverack PA, dbx 1231 GEQ, (2) dbx 231 GEQ, Lexicon MX 200, (3) QSC RMX 2450, QSC RMX 4050, QSC RMX 850, Crown XLS 5000, Crown XLS 802, cases for all amps, (2) yamaha SM12V stage monitors, (2) Yamaha SM15V stage monitors, (2) Yamaha S115V, (3) Shure Beta 57's, (2) Audix OM5's, Sennheiser 935, Shure Beta 52A, AKG Perception 170, (9) D I boxes, EV RE 410 handheld wireless, (8) DR Pro boom mic stands, (3) monster Pro 1000 power surge protectors, (30) 25 ft Rapco mic cables, plenty of speakon speaker cable (some cable is ready for bi amping QRx 212, some wired one side for mono bridge for sub amps).
I bought it thinking my band would use it but we don't. And it weighs 1,500 lbs. But it sounds great. The ashly protea has EV factory PEQ settings programmed. I programmed it.

Thanks Alan, I took your advice and went for the M-ONE XL.

Ignore the prices, this is just a list.  B&H is very convenient to make lists because they stock a reasonable list of options.  The actual purchase will likely be bid out to multiple vendors.

I've had good luck with Mackie, but the few pieces I have are quite old...

Thanks for the offer Alfredo, it looks like a great system..Unfortunately, this is a corporate purchase and will likely be sourced locally through a Middle Eastern vendor.  Good luck selling!

I broke down and swapped the Onyx for a GL2400-24

Looks like I'm done, except I'm still looking for a source for straps for stacking FOH tops.

I had hunted locally for black straps and ended up buying Master brand (like the locks) from Amazon.

Thanks again to everyone for your assistance in reviewing this list.

I have submitted my proposal and this quest is completed.

Now I can start my month long vacation.

This seemed like the perfect price goal for a two tops/subs/side JBL SRX rig and 15 Shure SM-5X dynamics.
