Where the hell are all the jobs...
« on: May 17, 2011, 08:46:30 PM »

Is it me, or is this an extremely SLOW year.. This time last year we were coming out of a slow winter, but our Spring, Summer, even our Fall was SLAMMED. We've got all this gear sitting here, but shows are cutting back or taking a year off. My boss is actually talking about laying some people off. Even our touring clients are not touring as much.

I seem to be incredibly busy one week this year, and then only 3-4 shows the next, and so on

overall though, this is my busiest year without touring so far, which definitely surprises me considering things don't pick up until early/mid june here typically

might just be your area, although I've heard a lot from other people saying they're slow too, so maybe I'm just in demand right now? hahaha, cause it can't be my price, I'm definitely not cheap!

It's just you....

We have been quite busy since mid November 2010 and have been slammed for about two months straight now!  No relief in sight either.  Next time I get to relax will be mid July....unless that gets booked too but I don't expect much when it is 116 degrees outside.

Corbin,

I don't know where you are, or the size of your company. But you might wish to look at this link, and this link. These will give you an idea of what is happening at the Live Nation level.
