GREAT interview with Booker T Jones on NPR
« on: May 06, 2011, 09:13:55 AM »

Just now on Morning Edition, Booker T was interviewed (he has new CD) and discusses his experience with the B3 plus R&B/Soul music and Memphis when he was growing up (and now), etc. Nice little samples of Jimmie Reed and Bill Doggett.

Very nice job by Linda Wertheimer and Mr Jones.

(this music, these people and the intsruments are what led me on the path that turned into my career in live sound. I still get 'chicken skin' listening to it/them)

Hi Tom-

Most excellent!  Thanks for the link.

Booker T also appears on Jools Holland's "Rocking Horse", playing on Blues for New Orleans.  The whole album is pretty damn smokin', actually.  Give a listen if you have a chance.

Have fun, good luck.
