Avatar scroll bars
« on: January 13, 2011, 04:31:01 pm »

What's up with the scroll bars on all the avatars? I know my avatar is 80x80 pixels, which is what the maximum avatar size was set to. Why does it need scroll bars?

An a similar theme, why doesn't the text entry box auto scroll when you are composing a message? Why does my typing have to run off the bottom of the window so I have to scroll down to see it?

I don't see a scroll bar on your avatar in Firefox.

I'm going to butcher the terminology, so bear with me.

Zooming(?) in an out causes the scroll bars to appear for me. I cause this by the "command +" or "command -".

Tapping the "command -" until I no longer see any more change and then "command +", the scroll bars disappear after 3 taps, which is my usual viewing preference.

Also visibile on Safari 5.0.3 in OSX 10.6.6.

None on iPhones, but with the current software layout, limitations and adspace  I'm down to 1/3 of the horizontal screen to actually view posts. Having the user info and avatar in a vertical pane above that person's post makes a huge real estate savings for viewers, and only costs you 80 pixels of depth...

Don't know if with this software being limited if that's a possibility, but it would make readability better. I can't be the only one.
