MOBILE PHONE INTERFACE WITH MIXING DESK FOR LIVE INTERVIEWS
« on: March 08, 2008, 06:46:58 AM »

Hi, We do live hookups with our missonaries during our services using mobile phones into the desk. I have a Motorola Razr V3x, it has a mini-usb outlet, I have taken the headset & re-wired a 1/4" mono jack from the headphones and another one where the built in mic was. It works pretty well. there are only 2 problems, the 1st is the missonaries get their own voice delayed & back into their ears (this is not from the sound desk, its actually from the phone) and the other issue is sound quality coming out the pa system. there is a cyclic variation in loudness and overall quality is low as you would expect. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY BETTER SUGGESTIONS? IS THERE SOMETHING BETTER (THAT IS AFFORDABLE, DONT WANT TO GO TO RADIO BROADCAST GEAR LEVEL). ANY HINTS, SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT. THERE IS NO LAND LINE IN OUR CHURCH & THE MISSIONARIES ARE MAINLY ON MOBILES ALSO
