The audio world lost another leader today with the passing of Sidney Harman.

Wow.  Major bummer.  Dr. Harman was a great friend to all things audio and musical and was a gifted businessman, too.  RIP, Sidney.  Enjoy the jams with Les Paul and the rest of the greats.

Along with the incredible list of accomplishments and innovations cited, Harman was a very good example of how to manage (or perhaps not mange, as in "hands off" .... I don't know) the companies one acquires.

We have all seen how much damage, through ownership and management by those have no personal/emotional connection to pro audio and who are only in it for the money, can do to pro audio manufacturers. No need to name names.

To the best of my knowledge, none of the Harman International pro audio companies have been run into the ground or mismanaged through ignorance of what the pro audio industry is all about.

Hopefully this will continue.

RIP, Dr Harman.
