Effect of Heat on equipment
« on: August 14, 2006, 09:22:43 PM »

We are renting a facility for our church and all our audio equipment is stored in a storage unit.  Since temptures in the summer reach 118+ it is estimated that temptures in the storage unit could reach 170.  We have a great deal of expensive equipment and the sound board has gone out twice.  Can these temptures affect equipment?

It could. Many pieces of equipment are rated for a storage temp max of 50C - which is 122F.

Some only 40C - which is about 102F.

Need to check the manuals.
