1.95 is the latest that addresses some USB streaming issue with a couple computers and software. So far I haven't felt or had the need to go to 1.95.
oops - I am 1.95. not 1.94

I'm not an amp man by any means, by I've never seen a clip limiter to be avoided because it truncates peaks and valleys...all I've seen is compression based on some voltage algorithm, usually peak voltage.

Remember that a clip limiter will only prevent the output stage from clipping.  It is still more then possible to clip the input of the amplifier, of which the clip limiter will have no effect.

Steve,

I would inquire with EV if the new Dynacord C series has "EV FIR-Drive" settings for the QRx series that include mechanical and thermal limiter settings. The literature (https://www.electrovoice.com/binary/FIR-Drive%20Technology%20GG%200.6.pdf) indicates that this is the case, but I'm not sure that this applies to the QRx series or just the more pro-series boxes.

Thanks for the info
