Hi There..
I find myself recently doing more and more gigs using LED fixtures as up lights for tree lighting etc. The fixtures have a double yoke that can be spread to form a nice base for standing on the floor/ground.
Problem is, It is a hassle to aim the light and at the same time maintain the legs spread nicely. And also the lock bolts need to be tightened really hard to prevent the whole assembly from moving. Every small adjustment to the light is a four hands task..
So I thought of this small bracket that integrates between the yokes (on one side, replacing the original rubber washer) and limits the legs spread to 60deg.
With this, positioning the fixture on the ground is quick and easy, and further adjustments are also straight forward as you don't need to deal with the legs spread.
Also, the locking bolts now only need to be tightened lightly as they only lock the tilt of the fixture..
