Hey All,

Been mainly doing bands and such for the past umpteen years, and have fallen back onto the musical market. This one has over 50 packs that need to be distributed to a cast of 20.

Wardrobe has made some nicely sized belts with pouches, but still that takes up nearly 16ft of table I don't have room for.

So, what's the "doh, why didn't I think of that" solution be for managing these situations that you've come up with?

I use over the door shoe organizers.  Something like this https://www.amazon.com/Colleer-Organizer-Pocket-Hanging-Storage/dp/B01CFJCU1K/ref=sr_1_8?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1533188040&sr=1-8&keywords=door+shoe+holder+black&refinements=p_n_srvg_2947266011%3A2972982011

It's totally tangential to your question (Michael took my suggestion), but, 50 packs for 20 actors? Are you doing "Billy Elliot" or something?

It's probably cast by politicians; doing the song&dance act while talking through their a##.

Sorry, I just had to..... 8)

Brad,

A hanging shoe bag, or two. I think you can get them at Wally World for cheap. They are ugly and won't last very long, but they should do the trick.

50 pacs?? 20 actors???

Double packed actors, along with double packed string instruments + IEM. Adds up quick!

The old school solution is to stack banquet tables to double their usable area.

I prefer using steel pigeonhole bin units. They offer superb IMD suppression (shoe hangers and other textile products have none) and organization.

Seems excessive unless you are micing in stereo.  Axient would be a better way to go.. with wireless control of the packs

Are we talking Main+Backup units for each vox & instrument?

What system do you plan on using?

Thanks for the ideas everyone, much appreciated.

For the little info about this production that I can share, it's a new touring musical just finishing up pre production.

Redundant is the design from the $$ decision makers (producers/director and sound designer), Heavily utilizing Axient Digital and UHF-R, with ULXD taking care of the stringed instruments. PSM1000 for IEM and some Sennheiser 6000 with Neuman caps for the performance numbers.

The frequency count is a smaller show for me at 72 wireless transmissions. I was only curious what the best way to cary 50+ packs and distribute them to the cast, as for concerts (where I've been living in the past decade or two at), it's mainly just taking a drawer insert (or few) to dressing rooms and dropping them off.

Thanks again,

Brad
