Hey there everyone,

For those who may know this time, is there a way to create scenes from a "View of a stage" - like a template where you can see what it will really look like as you write the scenes ?? 

Any and all advice accepted

Kinda hoping there is a way to have a visual of what the scene may look like. Like creating it at home with no fixtures, just type/model# and DMX address of our fixtures

Yep, that's pretty much what Capture (or any visualizer) does - lets you design/program a show without having any of the physical hardware on hand short of your console, and even then you can usually use its counterpart offline editor for this.

+1 for John's reply.  Unfortunately it isn't just type in fixtures and DMX addresses.  You may be expecting too much too easy.  You have to "build" the system (usually in 3D) in any of the visualization programs that I know of.  It is kind of like using CAD software.  Once done, you can program your scenes at home and then touch them up at the venue.  I don't think there is a way to use a visualization program with Airstream DMX bridge, but an email or call to ADJ may confirm this.

I can't speak for other visualizers, but Capture should be able to operate brand-agnostic via a hard-wired DMX input.  You'd have to connect the Airstream to an input device such as an Enttec interface running on the same computer as Capture via a 3-pin DMX cable, but that should work.  You're right though that modeling a stage and lighting rig isn't usually a small task if you want the output to be extremely accurate.
