Did you flash the firmware on just the console, or the Rio as well? I wonder if there's a firmware mismatch on the Rio (either newer or older than what was on the QL5). Also, making sure Dante *as well* as the normal firmware is up to date and matching.

This is one that I have seen before.  The DANTE and the device firmware are separate updates for most Dante devices but must be compatible.  Be sure to check if a DANTE update is needed.

Too late now, I'm sure, but in the QL setup screen you can touch the little firmware display to open up an error log.  Not saved between reboots. :(
Ah, that’s very good to know for next time!

I’m certain that the DANTE version was 4.x or higher, and I thought I put the DANTE FW installer in with the QL updater files, but the process did seem to go pretty quickly, so that is a possibility.

I’m banking on a botched firmware update that messed with the QL and DANTE; analog snakes patched into the console were no issue at all.

I haven't done the Dante update on a QL, but on our CL5 it was ~a 30 minute process.

The Dante update through USB is a little faster on a QL. Still definitely a different phase of the update, though.
