X32 FX controls?

Is there a source describing ALL the controls for various FX. Fair Comp in particular?

There is a ton of data on the Fairchild 670 if you Google it.  That is the original model.

I found this video and just checked it out. This should get you started.

By far the Fair compressor is the most musical of emulations.  I love it on vocals.

By far the Fair compressor is the most musical of emulations.  I love it on vocals.

Mine as well.  It has the familiar feel to it when you hear it work.  I like it as the first dynamics device in the vocal chain, followed by a peak limiter as a second insert (not available on the X/M32) or with the limiter on the vocal bus.

I use it on vocals always. Wondering what the bias and balance controls actually do.

I assume on the tube compressor bias actually changed the grid bias.  Being a voltage follower (I hope I have that right or will probably get my ass handed to me) neutralizing the grid or positovely/negatively biasing it would change the width (what DBX calls knee). Of the compressor.

The balance is even more esoteric and the MG manual speaks of audible arfiact nulling on the original model.  It does seem to attack harder or softer when adjusted.  Turn it and see, it's not very audible in a mix.
