Are "Horizon" cables any good?

As in all things audio "It depends", on which ones you are talking about.  They make good ones and cheap ones.  It depends on the quality of the cable and the connectors on the ends.  The workmanship is very good.   I would stay away from the "house brand" connectors and stick the Switchcraft or Neutrik. Do not use the molded end stuff.  They make many different types of cables for differnt types of users.  You cannot generalize.

The cable is fine and the connector is a Switchcraft.  The problem however is that the connector is the JUMBO plug.  That is probably the worst connector Switchcraft makes-they just break more easily than other connectors.  It is the only connector (that I am aware of) that will take a 12 ga cable.  Probably the reason they break so often is that they are used to hook up large cable and that puts quite a strain on it.  If you go that route- make sure the connector ahs a strain relief on it- loop the cable through a handle or something to keep the weight off of it.

You can have whatever you want made!  I use Horizon cables and it just depends on what I want!  Horizon and Rapco are one in the same FYI.  I think Horizon generally has a better name or quality!

We have been using Horizon cables for about 10 years now and most of them are still in great shape. We normally go for the "concert" series cables, like the NHPLZB cables. We have sold tons of these cables, and some of the cheaper ones as well, and I have yet to hear a complaint. We also use and sell Horizon snakes, speaker cables and more.

I also believe that all of Horizon's products are covered by a lifetime warranty.
