Need help with MIDI triggering dmx scenes - Obey70
« on: February 05, 2018, 02:19:29 PM »

I am having a problem using MIDI to switch between scenes on my Obey70.
I have the scenes built on my Chauvet Obey70. Lights are hooked up and all works great.
HOWEVER
Using my keyboard (directly connected) - when I press a key, the corresponding scene comes on - BUT - when I go to hit another key (and release the FIRST key, the lights go off. I also notice when I hit a key twice, the scene stays on.

I have the same problem when writing a midi track to control the scenes. They don't simply switch from one scene to another.
I've tried Cubase, Cakewalk, yelling at my dog...

I can't figure it out. I'm missing something, but the only instruction I see on Chauvet is "This is how you set your MIDI Channel"
and the MIDI notes related to scenes.

PLEASE HELP!!

You can control scenes from midi with showmagic.

There is a free version.
