Posting photos.
« on: January 12, 2020, 07:06:57 PM »

Hi all,

Not light related, but I'd like to post an update to my truss bases thread. I've gotten things put together and would love to share with you all, but I can't post photos. Seems sort of pointless without pictures.

I was trying to insert them as attachments. Is there another way? Any ideas?

Thank you!

Add as attachment. Total file size is 512K. That works out to several images with a max 800pxl horizontal limit.

Hi Joel, either what Mac said, or host the photo on a different website and share the link.  The free sites like Photobucket work, or you can use a business/personal website if you have one.  One of the “stickies” around here has instructions for doing that.  Hope this helps!

The sites photo feature sucks. Upload your photos to this site. imgbb.com It requires no registration, you can upload multiple pictures at once and then paste the BB code full into your forum post.  It comes out good and is really fast.  Here is an example.

FYI I am the fat guy in the blue t-shirt.  The copy showed up about 10 minutes into our testing even though we had alerted the watch commander.  Apparently the police got numerous calls with minutes of our testing.  Some over a mile away!.

Let me know if you need any help with the bb-code

I found an online app that reduced the size of the pictures. They're down in the 100kb range. Let's see if this works. Thanks guys!

OK, that worked. Maybe not ideal, but at least I'm able to post pictures.

Take a look at my samples, that seems like a lot of work for worse results.  Use the native Bb CODE
