Is any of this relevant on a professional forum? The cycle of economically sensible equipment acquisition and disposal is a known.

Things that maintain value outside parameters are outliers.

I think of this as reminiscing. I'm sure we all miss using our old boards. And that we don't miss moving them.

Tim; Pm3K's were a pleasure, weight-wise, after PM2K's with every optional transformer fitted.  And consoles were measured in pounds.  None of this Metric Kg stuff.

Yeah, we had that PM2K as well.  It had been retrofitted to use as a monitor desk.  It was a freaking beast to lift, although IIRC it had little pull out metal lift handles which at least helped a little.

The PM-2800.. all the stuff I didn't like about the PM3k with none of the things I liked about the 3K.  Meh.
