Hello, academically, would the new Axient Digital transmitter in band G57 sold in US, if capable of transmitting in the guard band of 614-616 MHz in up to 35 mW, require limiting to 10 mW mode going forward?

Yes and no. The guard band is 616-617MHz, not 614-616, since the highest frequency the Axient can tune to is 615.975, it does not operate in the guard band. It will however operate at a maximum of 20mW in this 2MHz as per FCC rules.

Though I think I understand the reason for the confusion: some documents are now calling the entire 3MHz between channel 37 and downlink block A the guard band, when initially the FCC used the term for only the 1MHz below block A (616-617).
